The chief editor receives the submitted manuscript and evaluate it. The submitted manuscript that meets editorial standards and fits within the scope of the journal will be sent to at least two independent peer reviewers for reviewing the manuscript. Peer Review Policy All submitted articles are subject to a double-blind assessment and peer review process to ensure editorial appropriateness and technical correctness. For an article to be accepted for publication, the editor-in-chief or the assigned editor will first consider if the manuscript meets editorial standards and fits within the scope of the journal. If an article is within scope, then the editor will ideally assign at least two independent peer reviewers (whose identities will remain anonymous to the authors and the authors’ identities will also remain anonymous to the reviewers). Subsequently, the manuscript should be submitted in two files; a title page file (including the names of all authors, their order and affiliations) and a blinded manuscript file (that should contain no references to any author or his/her affiliation). The author is then informed that this process will take about 90 days. The editor-in-chief can reject a manuscript prior to review if the manuscript does not meet minimum editorial standards and/or does not fit within the scope of the journal. Editing Process The submitted manuscript that meets editorial standards and fits within the scope of the journal is sent to independent peer reviewers for reviewing the manuscript. Based on the peer review reports, the editorial board will decide to either reject, request revisions (minor or major), or accept the manuscript. The corresponding author will be informed by the decision within 40 days via e-mail and should respond within 14 days for either minor or major revisions. Once a revised version is received, the editors and reviewers will evaluate the revised manuscript. Authors will then be notified of whether their paper is accepted or rejected for publication in the journal within 14 days via e-mail. The editor-in-chief's decision is final. All manuscripts accepted for publication are subject to copy editing by the publisher for presentation, style, and grammar. Prior to online publication, the final version of the edited article will be sent to the authors for final approval. The corresponding author should send the signed final approval to the editor-in-chief within one week. The authors must check the accuracy of all content at this time. After receiving the corresponding author’s approval of the final version of the edited article, it is published online in the first issue following the final acceptance for publication or the next issue, depending on the density of incoming manuscripts. |
